Fall 2010-2011 Update
Good afternoon families! I pray this email finds you enjoying the summer with your kids. We are just past the halfway point in the summer and I wanted to provide you with an important update on the classes for next year.

Zion is re-opening the 2nd and 3rd grade classes at Zion! Many of you expressed interest in a 2/3 split and with your commitment we are now accepting applications for this class for 2010-2011. We are very excited to continue to offer an excellent education to your child(ren) from Preschool through the 3rd grade. I know many of you are worried about tuition – the PTO Board is working hard to help you offset the cost of tuition by opportunities to work in the community (Seahawks games, etc) to help keep the tuition as low as possible. News of these fundraisers will be coming soon from the PTO Board.

In the meantime, if you are a parent of an upcoming 2nd or 3rd grader, please contact Sis. Givonna or myself to obtain the application as soon as possible (contact info below). If your child is in Preschool through 1st grade and you’ve filled out an application, be sure to guarantee your child’s placement by paying the first month’s tuition by August 1.

MBA Program @ Zion
Moving Beyond Arithmetic (MBA) has launched a summer program for approximately 17 students. These students in grades 3-6 are being exposed to (and learning) mathematical skills well beyond their grades and are having fun at the same time. Bro. Alston and his team are committed to being at Zion in the fall and we look forward to their presence during school and after school next year. If you haven’t seen what they are doing, please feel free to stop by this summer – they are busy working Monday through Friday from 8 – 5:30.

God continues to bless Zion and we’re excited about another year and we want to thank all of those who are sticking with us – “We’re not going anywhere!” Bro. Doug continues to remind us, and the 2/3 addition is proof we’re going to be around for a long time. Thank you for your support and please feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions. Have a blessed day!
