For over 27 years, Zion Preparatory Academy has brought an excellent education to the students in the Rainier Valley. The mission of Zion is to ensure academic excellence in a supportive Afrocentric, Christian-based environment. Students will realize their fullest potential, achieve personal integrity, and become responsible contributing members of society.

We take this mission seriously and have a diverse, Christian, and highly educated staff to serve the students of Zion Prep. Students at Zion Prep know who they are, what they can become, and ultimately understand that serving God and walking in His Will is one of the most important ingredients to their success.

You’ve all heard the phrase, “It takes a village,” and at Zion Prep we have been operating in this since opening our doors in 1983. The entire Zion community is a part of educating our students and it is through constant communication, high quality education, prayer, commitment, and a zeal to work see God’s will done in the lives of the students that are all components of our “Village.” If you haven’t seen the excellent work God is doing at Zion please stop by to visit the “Miracle on 32nd Street.”
